Full Description: Implement school health services to students, based on the child’s individualized education program, school-health plan (completed by RN), and/or doctors’ orders
● Provide both formal and informal assessment of student progress toward health goals; provide frequent reports to school nurse (or other members of IEP team)
● Coordinate special education and related services with other members of the IEP team
● Assist students in completing activities of daily living
● Work with the school nurses (both SKACD and member-district) to complete assigned tasks
● Adhere to both SKACD and local district procedures
● Participate in required inservice training and continued professional development requirements
● Ensure relevant certifications remain in good standing
● Establish professional rapport; communicate effectively to members of the school community
● Demonstrate reflective practices; explore and advocate for improved service delivery
● Complete other duties as assigned by administration of SKACD or assigned school buildings

Logistics, Work Location, Hours, Supervision, Salary, and Benefits
● Worksite is determined by the current needs of SKACD; to be discussed at the time of hiring and subject to change
● The position will follow traditional school calendar (9-months)
● Working hours will be determined by the assigned school district
● Reports to the both SKACD administration, SKACD School Nurse, and local district administration

● Education:
○ Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
○ Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher in a healthcare-related field
● Licensure:
○ Minimum: Current Kansas’ certification as a Certified Nurse Aide
● Maintain a valid Kansas Driver’s License and have access to reliable transportation
● Must be able to lift 30 lbs (may be asked to provide physical lifts/assists to students beyond 30 lbs)
