The City of Dodge City is accepting applications for a Sanitation Driver in the Public Works department. A valid CDL, Class B Kansas motor vehicle operator’s license is a requirement. The pay for this position is $20.00 per hour with full-time benefit package, including health/dental insurance, KPERS retirement, vacation, sick leave and holidays. This position works a minimum of 40 hours per week. Up to a 5% bilingual pay incentive is available through post-hire bilingual testing.
The City of Dodge City—Public Works Department is seeking qualified candidates who already possess a Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with Air Brake endorsement. The City of Dodge City has adopted the CDL bonus incentive policy to help those who have already obtained their CDL.
The bonus will be $1,000 for candidates to accept employment in the Public Works department if they currently have the Class A or Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement and a clean driving record for the last thirty-six months before hiring. After completing six months of successful employment with the City of Dodge City, the employee would receive half of the bonus ($500). After completing nine months of successful employment with the City of Dodge City, the employee will receive the remaining $500 bonus. This bonus is subject to taxes.
