Full Description: The Emergency Department / Education Manager at Minneola Healthcare is responsible for overseeing both the operational management of the Emergency Department (ED) and the educational programs within the healthcare facility. This dual-role position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient and effective patient care delivery.
Supervise ED staff, including nurses and support personnel, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
Collaborate with healthcare leadership to develop and implement educational programs for staff development and continuing education.
Design, coordinate, and conduct training sessions and workshops for healthcare professionals, focusing on emergency care best practices and procedural updates.
Monitor and evaluate educational outcomes, assessing the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvement.
Serve as a resource and mentor to ED staff, providing guidance on clinical practice, emergency response protocols, and patient care strategies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the ED, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies related to emergency care and staff education.
Provide nursing call coverage in a rotation with the other nursing leaders. Fully staffed, this will be 1 in 5 weekends and 1 night a week.

Qualifications:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas.
Proven experience in emergency nursing.
Knowledge of emergency care principles, trauma response, and critical care protocols.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and lead a team in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Commitment to professional development and continuing education in healthcare management and emergency nursing.
