Short Description: Great Jobs KC is expanding into Ford County and seeking a full-time Career Resources Representative to support adult learners as they transition from career training into meaningful, family-sustaining employment. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Career Services and Program Operations, this hybrid role provides individualized career coaching, connects Scholars to internships and job opportunities, and facilitates workshops to build job-readiness skills. The representative also develops and maintains employer partnerships across the region, aligns job openings with Scholar strengths, and tracks outcomes in Salesforce. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or three years of related experience in recruitment, career services, or business, along with strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Great Jobs KC, Inc. (dba KC Scholars) (www.greatjobskc.org) is a 501(c)(3) college scholarship and tuition-free job training program. Its goal is to support persistence and increase the college completion rate for low- and modest-income students across the six-county area and rural areas of the bi-state service region and secure family-sustaining careers. The organization was designed to change thousands of individual lives and transform the region by preparing the local future workforce and contributing to the regional economy. The KC Scholars Scholarship Program awards traditional college scholarships to high school juniors, and adult learner scholarships to adults 24 years and older. Great Jobs KC also provides tuition assistance to approved career training programs in high-demand industries such as construction, healthcare, information technology, logistics/warehousing, manufacturing and service careers. With the support of Great Jobs KC, adults 17+ and older can learn the skills needed in one year or less to secure a job with family-sustaining wages. Great Jobs KC supports all its Scholars throughout their college or job training and into their first year of employment.



ABOUT THE ROLE

Reports to: Sr. Director Career Services and Program Operations

Location: Ford County, KS

Hybrid

Status: Exempt, Full-time

Salary: Annual salary based on experience

Operating hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST



Key Performance Indicators:

· Ensure 80% of scholars secure an internship and/or great job making $45,000 or more.

· Ensure 100% of employer partners and prospects are tracked in Salesforce.

· Achieve a 90% or higher satisfaction rate from participating employers based on regular surveys and feedback mechanisms.

· Support 100% of participating employers’ development needs related to the Scholar experience by connecting them to available resources



RESPONSIBILITIES

Scholar Career Development and Support (60%)

· Provide individualized career coaching, including resume review, interview preparation, and job readiness support.

· Connect Scholars with available job openings, internships, and apprenticeships.

· Partner with Scholar Advocates and the Support Resources team to address barriers and ensure wraparound support during training and job placement.

· Facilitate workshops, events, and mock interviews to prepare Scholars for workforce entry.

· Maintain accurate Scholar records, progress notes, and activity tracking in Salesforce.

· Monitor and report Scholar outcomes, job placements, and satisfaction metrics.



Employer Engagement & Partnership Development (40%)

· Build and maintain relationships with employers across assigned counties to generate job and internship opportunities.

· Consult with employers to understand hiring needs, workforce trends, and talent gaps—particularly in healthcare, IT, construction, and manufacturing.

· Develop customized recruitment strategies and coordinate hiring events, industry networking sessions, and employer presentations.

· Collaborate with internal teams to align training programs with market needs.

· Research regional labor market trends to inform employer outreach and Scholar preparation strategies.

· Record employer interactions, opportunities, and feedback in Salesforce.

· Occasional other duties as assigned.

Requirements


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Work Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Account Management, or Human Resources preferred OR

· At least three years of related work experience in business, recruitment, corporate, career services or education required.
