Full Description: Duties
Serves and protects the citizens of Spearville
Enforces state, and local laws and ordinances
Responds to emergency situations
Performs routine patrol duties
Performs public relations
Responds to complaints, crime scenes and traffic accidents
Conducts investigations and gathers evidence on criminal cases
Works with other agencies on criminal investigations
Executes arrest warrants
Executes search warrants
Testifies in court
Performs first aid as needed
Enforces safety procedures and practices
Subject to call in emergency situations
Performs animal control duties
Performs other duties as deemed necessary or assigned
Salary will be based upon experience and discussed at the time of interview; we prefer someone that has a Kansas State Law Enforcement certificate but not required; we will train the right person.
Minimum Qualification
High school diploma
United States citizen
21 years of age or older
Possess a valid Kansas driver license
Pass a background check
Pass drug and alcohol screen
Pass Psychological assessment
