Short Description: Under the supervision of the Director of Residence Life/Judicial Affairs, the Residence Hall Supervisor shall be responsible for assisting the Director in all facets of Residence Hall management including assisting with the management of the four residential facilities and approximately 12 Resident Assistants.

Full Description: Essential Functions and Responsibilities
To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~ To provide a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, person, and career goals.
Evening and weekend work is required including on-call duty. This position reports directly to the Director of Residence Life/Judicial Affairs.
Will live in on-campus apartment.
Assist in the administrative management and operation of the residence halls year-round (including but not limited to student orientation, recruitment, and room assigning).
Input and maintain electronic card key computer system and assignment records.
Assist in the recruitment, selection, training, evaluation, and oversight, of resident assistants.
Act as a positive role model and aid in student adjustment to the collegiate residential community.
Provide an environment conducive to academic achievement.
Assist with policy enforcement and behavioral accountability of students and staff.
Conduct Health and Safety Inspections.
Develop and encourage educational, cultural and social programs
Assist the Student Activities Coordinator with planning and implementing student activities for all students.
Develop and implement, in coordination with resident assistants, student activities for residence hall students.
Co-Sponsor the Residence Hall Association organization. A student led organization designed to advocate for the residents living on campus.
Assist the Director of Residence Life/Judicial Affairs with student disciplinary cases, hearings, evaluations, etc.
Assist the Security department with maintaining a safe environment for residents in the halls.
Serve on-call function in cooperation with the Director of Residence Life/Judicial Affairs.
Walk through each residence hall on a regular basis to ensure everything is safe and entrusted.
Driving of college vehicle, including but not limited to, shuttle service to and from off-campus housing as needed.
Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or higher.
Proven ability to work with diverse populations including traditional and non-traditional students.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Must possess computer skills and exceptional organizational skills.
Able to positively interact with a variety of students in different role settings.
Must possess or obtain a valid Kansas Driver’s License and be insurable.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working with students in residence life, organized activities or related experience.
Previous residence life experience

Physical Requirements With or without assistance.
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds over 25 feet.
Ability to hear informational speaker in conversational voice at a distance of 10 ft. and on telephone
Ability to speak clearly and audibly to others at 10 ft distance and on the telephone.
Ability to stretch, bend, stoop, and kneel as required to perform the duties of this position.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
