Full Description: Essential Functions
To understand and commit to the Mission of the College- “Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal and career goals”.
Provide office support for the Director of Residence Life and all Residence Life professional staff.
Assist in managing the electronic key card access system and food service database.
Coordinate daily Residence Life office operations, maintain confidential student and personnel records, process housing applications, manage databases (including student information systems), and prepare assigned reports for the Director of Residence Life and Vice President of Student Services.
Support housing mail services, including mail distribution and maintenance of mail service software.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the office by answering and directing phone calls, assisting visitors, and providing tours as needed.
Coordinate facility maintenance requests, manage office supply inventory, and arrange equipment repairs.
Support enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct and housing policies and procedures.
Assist with housing-related events such as conferences, enrollment activities, and special programs.
Oversee Resident Assistant administrative functions, including office hours, meetings, rounds, and activities as directed.
Process requisitions, purchase orders, and work orders while maintaining accurate records.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Residence Life and/or the Vice President of Student Services.

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Experience working with computer information systems
Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills
Accuracy in keyboarding and filing skills
Willingness to work as a team member in a high traffic area
Must maintain a valid drivers license
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with students, peers and supervisors
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree
Minimum of three years Administrative Assistant or related experience in a higher education setting
Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously
Previous experience with database management and Excel spreadsheets

Physical Requirements – With or Without Assistance:
Ability to communicate clearly and precisely in written form and verbally
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
Motor skills and dexterity to access campus locations
Ability to occasionally lift up to 35lbs
Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as necessary to perform the responsibilities of this position
