Responsibilities
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
• Perform animal restraint techniques to facilitate examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications as directed by veterinarians, including oral, topical, and injectable medications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including surgical areas, examination rooms, and laboratory spaces.
• Provide front desk support by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis under supervision.
• Monitor animal behavior and health status during visits to ensure proper care is provided.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices and post-treatment care.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to assist in medical procedures effectively.
