Full Description: We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Medical Office Receptionist to join our dynamic team at Southwest Kansas Cardiology. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. You will be responsible for managing patient appointments, answering phone calls, collecting payments, data entry and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate records.
Answer and direct phone calls, providing necessary information or referring calls to appropriate staff members.
Verify patient information and insurance details during check-in.
Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Handle medical billing inquiries and assist with payment collection.
Assist with filing, faxing, and other general administrative tasks as needed.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely patient care and coordination.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office and EMR systems.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly recommended.
