One of the lowest unemployment figures not only in the state of Kansas, but the nation, spell a big plus for the Dodge City and Ford County job markets.

With a rate of 3.9% for the month of May, Ford County still has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state of Kansas. The state rate has risen to 6.9%.

Low unemployment means that many jobs in the area continue to go unfilled. This high employment rate also means stable, significant tax collections for the county and the city, helping to boost quality of life.
