Kansas SBDC at Dodge City/Ford County Development Offering Second GrowSmart™ Workshop Series
TOPEKA, Kansas (August 4, 2017) – On September 12, 2017, the Kansas Small Business Development Center (Kansas SBDC) network in partnership with Dodge City/Ford County Development Corporation will kick off the Kansas SBDC GrowSmart™ Workshop Series in Dodge City, Kansas.
GrowSmart is an intensive boot camp delivered each Thursday for five consecutive weeks. Workshops will run 9 am to 4 pm and will be held at the Dodge City/Ford County Development Corp. Training Room in Dodge City. Kansas SBDC is offering scholarships to local businesses interested in attending this program reducing its price more than 50%.The series is priced $395 per person or $595 per business for two to four attendees ($3580 value).
Only one business per industry will be accepted into the program so businesses can comfortably tackle their issues in a secure environment. The GrowSmart program provides intensive training along with additional business advising from the Kansas SBDC consulting team at no additional cost. The goal is to support and encourage participants to apply what they learn in the series to make positive changes in their businesses.
Key components covered in the series include: determining a sustainable growth rate; understanding the power of price on profit including best methods for discounting; identifying people resources and leadership strategies necessary to achieve growth; calculating the amount of money it will take to grow the business profitably as well as how to find it; and uncovering workflow, design, and identifying business model development critical to success.
