Responsible for medical staff credentialing to ensure JCAHO and CMS compliance. Responsible to assist the Medical Staff Services Director in the coordination of all Medical Staff service and committee meetings to include notification of members, attendance at all meetings, agenda preparations, taking notes, writing and transcribing all committee minutes in prescribed format to ensure minutes are documented appropriately for JCAHO, CMS, and other regulatory bodies. Supports and assists Medical Staff Services Director and Administrative team as required with special projects related to the medical staff and facility operations. Assists Medical Staff Services Director and Administrative team as requested with JCAHO preparation, physician satisfaction, and other projects. Previous Experience with Medical terminology is very helpful.

This is a Department of Nursing Service position that provides delivery of patient care with the knowledge of a Registered Nurse. Must demonstrate the clinical ability to work as Primary RN on the Unit to which assigned. Must be able to coordinates the delivery of patient care on the Unit; completes required documentation; participates in patient/family teaching and discharge planning, effectively utilizing the Nursing Process. Provides leadership by working cooperatively and effectively with physicians, ancillary staff and other administrative and support personnel in maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice in the multidisciplinary clinical setting. Provides the basic leadership required of a Registered Nurse for subordinate staff on the Unit. Maintains quality delivery of patient care by completing patient assignments in compliance with the Nursing Process, the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO and State regulations and established Hospital Policies and Procedures. Strives daily to give all customers very good care and promotes Western Plains Medical Complex’s Standards of Behavior and other duties as assigned.

This is a Full-time positon and is Nights 7p-7a.

We offer a $10,000 sign on bonus for nurses with more than 1 year of RN experience. We offer $3,000 sign on bonus to new graduates. We also offer a 10% Night shift differential and 10% weekend differential.

The Housekeeper cleans patients rooms according to established procedures (or as conditions permit) which may include making beds, scouring, scrubbing, mopping, dusting, polishing and using germicides as appropriate;  performs detail cleaning and sanitizing of technical equipment as assigned;  assists with orientation of new personnel, including laundry and floor maintenance; maintains inventories of housekeeping supplies, assists with cleaning and shampooing of carpets and/or refinishes floors;  moves beds and other non-technical equipment as requested;  completes all responsibilities per Infection Control policies and practices;  performs responsibilities in compliance with all safety regulations and precautions;  reports all unsafe conditions and equipment that requires repair to supervisor;  attends departmental meetings and in-services as required;  collects soiled linen and performs other duties as assigned.

Description:  The  Occupational Therapist assesses the functional needs of the patients and sets appropriate goals for that patient;  provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as needed;  reassesses patient’s functional needs and adjusts care plan as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcome;  documents evaluations and treatment goals and plans; provides correct information on Medicare, AHCCS and all other forms; regularly updates documentation and maintains all required prescriptions and signatures;  documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment;  provides correct statistics and billing information on all OT patients; provides patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence; attends hospital and community meetings as appropriate; serves on various committees, and performs other duties as assigned.
