Convention Sales Coordinator

The City of Dodge City, KS is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Convention Sales Coordinator. Starting salary for this position is $1,350.40 biweekly, DOQ, plus benefits. Position reports to the Convention and Visitor Bureau Director. Position is responsible for promoting and marketing Dodge City’s facilities as a convention and exhibition site for associations, corporations and other groups; and acts as a liaison between the customer and the facilities/attractions/services.

Required qualifications are Associate Degree or work experience equivalent to such degree; a valid Kansas driver license; minimum of 2 years experience in public sector related to tourism, convention planning, marketing, sales and customer service.

Part-Time Building Attendent (Sheridan Activity Center)

PART-TIME BUILDING ATTENDANT – The City of Dodge City is accepting applications for the position of part-time building attendant at the Sheridan Activity Center. The position requires the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public and the ability to lift weights in excess of 40 lbs. Hours will fluctuate seasonally 12-15 hours per week. Part-Time Bus Drivers

The City of Dodge City is accepting applications for part-time bus drivers to fulfill needs in our expanding public transportation service. Drivers will be expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, the public and fellow employees, and to provide safe, on-time service. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, and must get a Commercial Drivers’ License with Passenger Endorsement before date of hire. Drivers must have a clean driving record, be able to pass a background check, and be available to work early morning or late afternoon hours. Random drug testing performed throughout employment. Bilingual skills preferred but not required. Starting pay is $11 per hour.
