  • Changes A/C filters, and may daily log the temperatures and pressures on commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Operates carpet cleaning equipment to clean carpets and extract water.
  • Assists in grounds work, including regular grounds inspections, picking up debris, and emptying trash containers.
  1. Performs supplemental landscape maintenance and irrigation system repair so that landscape areas are tidy, trimmed and adequately watered. Replaces sprinkler heads, digs up and repairs broken lines, adjusts time clocks, etc.
  2. If required, performs daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance following manufacturer’s directions for use of the same, and area is free of safety violations (i.e., safety equipment, gate functions, etc.). Possesses or willing to obtain pool operator’s certificate if necessary.
  3. May trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor appliance failures (i.e., change out or repair dishwasher motors, garbage disposals, ice makers, stove elements, etc.).
  4. May repair minor electrical problems (i.e., change out switches, receptacles, fixtures, etc.).
  5. May repair minor plumbing problems (i.e., change out bibbs, seats, pop-up assemblies, operates sewer machines, etc.).
  6. Continuously inspects the property for safety hazards that pose a liability or potential liability and corrects same immediately, advising supervisor of necessary action.
  7. Distributes resident/tenant correspondence.
  8. Completes minor roof repairs (composition and built-up roofs).
  9. Performs supplemental exterminations as needed and allowed by law.
  10. May travel to suppliers to pick up parcels and supplies as directed in a timely manner.
  11. Performs some custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning, etc.
  12. Shovels snow from walks, driveways, and public areas and spreads ice melt products to prevent ice       buildup when necessary.
  13. Incorporates both safety and customer service in performance of all job duties.
  14. Completes all necessary forms and paperwork in accordance with company guidelines.
  15. May participate in a rotating on-call emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Wind Technicians spend 100% of their time in the field, excluding safety; supervisor and scheduled training exercises. Wind Technicians work in teams and are provided a company vehicle (service truck) in which they carry the required tools and parts necessary to perform repairs and/or maintenance on turbines in multiple wind fields on any given day. Generally, Service Technicians work in extreme weather conditions.


  • Work safely under all circumstances and seek guidance for any work for which they are unfamiliar or do not feel competent to perform safely.
  • Operate and care for company property and equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Change gearbox oil in a designated area or wind field.
  • Grease/torque wind turbines.
  • May also service turbines based on the type of turbine (manufacturer) in multiple wind fields.
  • Perform “status” checks including clearing “error” codes on turbines and repairing the problems.
  • Replace mechanical components.
  • Service blade and hub components as required by turbine type.
  • Complete on a daily basis, work orders, time cards and any other required paperwork for the specific project/assignment.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or his/her designee.

One temporary position is available at the Dodge City Region 3 Office supervised by Aaron Baugh, Environmental Scientist II. The incumbent will be involved in assisting with district wildlife biologist activities and public lands management. Job duties include but not limited to; posting walk-in hunting properties, handling sick or injured wildlife, assisting with youth programs, equipment repair, sign maintenance, litter removal, control of noxious weeds and other undesired vegetation. Operation of a variety of equipment including trucks, trailers, ATV’s, tractors, agricultural implements, hand tools, and mowers. Positions will run mid-May through August with the option to continue throughout the fall or winter on approval.

BENEFITS: Hourly wage $10.15 per hour. Normal work week will be Monday-Friday, 40 hours maximum per week, 999 hours maximum per year. No paid holidays.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks in a variety of outdoor setting and weather conditions.
