The position is the Assistant to the Box Office Manager and will help in the responsiblity for the accurate, efficient and service-oriented operation of the ticket selling functions of the United Wireless Arena and The Conference Center including supervision of part time staff, in-depth knowledge of the Ticket Master system, working with promoters and financial reporting on all events. In addition to normal weekday business hours, the duties of this position may require work during or immediately following shows or events which occur outside of normal business hours (nights, weekends, holidays, etc.). This position is a part time position, on an as-needed basis.


  1. Assist Manager in managing the overall operation of the ticket office and provides for the ordering, sale and accounting of all tickets sold for events at the building. Assures the proper accounting of all money and tickets for events serviced by the building. Maintain daily records of business transactions as required by the Business Office
  2. Assist Manager with supervising the selection, placement, promotion, training, safety, appraisal and discipline of all part time ticket office personnel.
  3. Assist Manager, who is the principle contact, with Ticketmaster and assures compliance with all service standards and contract provisions.
  4. Works closely with event promoters and building lessees on a daily basis to provide advice, assistance and ticket sales status information. Prepares ticket office reports or event settlements and assists senior staff in settlement with promoters.
  5. Assist Manager with show maps and ticketing builds for Ticketmaster on all shows booked by Arena.


  1. Assists with the collection and dissemination of marketing information as related to ticket sales and customer service goals.
  2. Assists with group sales program and, as needed, subscription series accounts for building clients.
  3. Handles complaints, ticket problems and customer service issues in a fair, professional and courteous manner.
  4. Maintains and regularly updates calendars, electronic messages and other ticket office information equipment with event information, sales dates, prices and times
  5. Other duties as assigned


Supervises part time employees in the Box Office in conjunction with the Box Office Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
